It inevitably had all eyes fixed to it this May when it had its restaurant premiered in a 1950 house and its nearby private dining hall hosted in an onta (the master bedroom of traditional Cretan houses) that dates back to 1890!

A neatly arranged courtyard, and dining areas with a classical inlay overlooking a garden fit for children’s recreational activities speak volumes about its family friendly philosophy and urban aura. The ideal setting for a family dinner which celebrates seafood coupled with a creative Mediterranean menu signed by chef Marios Ventouris, who places emphasis on fine ingredients.

Salmon with strawberries seasoned with bergamot-scented tsikoudia (Cretan spirit), and risotto with sepia give us a pretty solid idea of what the menu has in store for us, while there is an array of meat dishes, especially if paired with wine of Cretan labels or of vineyards from the Aegean islands. Its delicate desserts, including cheesecake with forest fruits, guarantee a sweet ending, whereas the warmth welcome rounds up this gastronomy experience.
