Pahia Ammos

Pahia Ammos is one of the few sandy beaches within Mirabelou Gulf
It is situated on the crossroad Agios Nikolaos - Ierapetra - Siteia and that explains its popularity among locals.
The beach is within the Mirabellou Gulf, while some parts are affected by north winds. The thick sand (as is its name) is attracting people to this beach. Around the area exist sites of archaeological importance namely Gournia and Vasiliki.
